A few of our favorite shows. Thanks to all the amazing musicians who bring their passion to the pub!
The Dirty Bourbon River Show
Live at 7 Devils, 2017. The Dirty Bourbon River Show does it all. Literally. Whether on a boat, a hot air balloon, or on land – on the streets, in a club, day, night, with burlesque, fire, festivals, carnivals, parades & full brass 2nd lines – you name it, they can do it. But if you’re looking for authentic, New Orleans-fueled world music mashups with gypsy gumbo horn beats, barb-wire ballads, and barroom shanties, then here's the band for you. Video and Audio recordings provided by Tidalbridge. What an awesome show! |
Steep Ravine
has been one of our favorite bands to come through since opening our doors. We love these guys! Steep Ravine is from the San Francisco Bay Area. Singer and guitarist Simon Linsteadt and violinist Jan Purat began playing music together as kids and met bassist Alex Bice, mandolinist Andy O'Brien, and drummer Jeff Wilson while attending UC Santa Cruz. Steep Ravine has toured extensively throughout the US and beyond and has recorded three full-length records. Following their beginnings playing a pick up gig at a Hawaiian grill in Santa Cruz and busking in the BART Metro Stations of San Francisco, Steep Ravine gained a following in the Bay Area and throughout the west. After the release of their debut record TRAMPIN’ ON, the band went on several national tours, including notable performances at High Sierra Music Festival, Four Corners Folk Festival, Pagosa Folk n' Bluegrass, Outside Lands, Strawberry Music Festival, The Fillmore, The Freight and Salvage, and many more. Since their debut, Steep Ravine released two more albums, The Pedestrian 2015, and Turning of the Fall 2017. As of September 2017, Steep Ravine is on hiatus. |
The Deer
This band is amazing! The Deer have performed live at the brewery at least 4 times over the years. Described as transcendental Texas folk, Cosmic Americana, and stargaze surf-western, The Deer weave psychotropic soundscapes and tranquil, vivid dream-pop. From Austin, they are borne of a densely creative atmosphere, and stand out with their versatile and accessible sound. Members include frontwoman Grace Rowland Park (The Blue Hit), upright bassist Jesse Dalton (MilkDrive, Green Mountain Grass), guitarist Michael McLeod (Good Field, Linklater film composer), drummer Alan Eckert (Dimitri’s Ascent, A Live One), and their newest member, string player Noah Jeffries (MilkDrive, South Austin Jug Band). Frequent collaborator Roger Sellers (Bayonne) also adds some of his touch to their songwriting and production. |
Valley Queen
Natalie Carol (vocals/guitar) - Neil Wogensen (bass/vocals) - Shawn Morones (guitar/vocals) - Mike DeLuccia (drums) The full-length debut from Los Angeles-based band Valley Queen, Supergiant takes its title from the most massive and luminous yet fastest-burning stars in the universe. “The song ‘Supergiant’ is about how we’re all made up of the same stuff as stars, and I liked the idea of tying the whole album together with that metaphor,” says Carol. “It takes all the drama you hear on the record—the aggressive, chaotic moments, and the more beautiful or quieter moments—and puts it all into a more galactic perspective.” |
